Marc Augé delivers a profound concept about modern cities, where he awakes a reality that has been more common today in human history than in any other time : the denial of existence of specific places in the continuing spreading process of cities. While the cities get larger and more sophisticated, more non-places can be found.

"Non-places" inspired this piece, those inhabited places to unaware eyes, those spots in constant transition and transformation that do not belong to anyone.The poem recalls Jose Asunción Silva, a Colombian poet of the nineteen century that can be related to French realistic poetry of Baudelaire. It recalls a nostalgic expression of theemptiness and coldness of modern, organized and structured development.
